Does tourism increase energy consumption in BRICS countries?

Tourism has been the fastest-growing sector in world over last decade, contributes to employment opportunities, and generates earnings foreign currencies. intensively needs energy promote tourist activities, which turn causes economic growth. However, as almost all like hotel accommodations transportation, strongly depend on use, it may contribute increased consumption. Our study explores impact of tourism consumption BRICS (i.e., Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) by using panel data set 1995–2014. In this study, feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) Panel corrected standard error (PCSE) regression techniques are used for empirical analysis. The results reveal that a positive significant findings robust unaffected use various proxies econometric techniques. Furthermore, our due inclusion controls such financial development, gross fixed capital formation, total population, domestic product. policy implication is governments should way boost growth their economies. Sustainable can help these economies achieve sustainable development.
